End of Life Services

Recognizing the importance of honoring those who have passed, we work with those who are grieving.

In conjunction with several funeral homes, we assist families in coordinating and officiating at memorial services, wakes and graveside services for loved ones.

“Your kind words and thoughtful presentation at my mother’s service was very comforting to our entire family.  It helped us get through a very difficult day.”

“Thank you for the wonderful service you prepared for my father-in-law.Everything from the music to the prayers!”

“Your beautiful words did my mother proud and brought comfort to all who loved her. I am thankful to God for bringing you into our lives at this time.”

“ Your comforting presence and beautiful service touched our heart and softened the grief our family was carrying. Can I sign you up to do my funeral?”

I just wanted to express my thanks to all of the work done by Sacred Threads. As you know, I deal with people who are experiencing the loss of a loved one and many times they don’t know where to turn in regards to having someone to offer a spiritual uplifting ceremony to help capture the essence of their loved one’s life. They may not have an affiliation with a particular church or religious background or may have lapsed in their faith and need someone to offer a prayerful, comforting ceremony, that is tailored to their direct need. It is a comfort to me that I know that when I recommend you, the family will be guided and supported on their journey thru the grieving process, and you will always be there for them in the difficult days afterward.

Thomas Lynch, a writer, poet and Michigan funeral director once observed that “The dead matter to the living. In accompanying the dead, getting them where they need to go, we get where we need to be — to the edge of that oblivion and then returned to life with the certain knowledge that life has changed.”  I have witnessed first-hand how Marie and Rosemary have gently, spiritually and skillfully walked that journey with tenderness, kindness and compassion with people whose lives have forever been changed… they are a gift to the community that truly does demonstrate that there are more threads that unite us than divide us… in life and in death.
