It was the Sacred Threads event with Brother Mickey. As I listened to him, I realized the power of storytelling. The stories were about women, holy women, their journey through life and the obstacles they had to overcome to fulfill their desire to become instruments of God, I wondered why at this moment I connected to this sharing, connected to their stories and I thought of my own life story and my continuous struggle to move closer to God. The path may be easier now and as I share and reflect on my own story, I know that Sacred Threads, its mission, programs and opportunities for renewal will guide me on my journey.
