These groups address particular topics of interest that are intended to encourage discussion, sharing, and an honest flow of ideas. Upcoming groups include:

  • Deepening Compassion through the Enneagram: 
It is taught by Liz Turnwald, Certified Teacher of the Narrative Enneagram.

  • Compassion for the Earth through Forest Bathing: It is led by Michele Ryan, a certified Forest Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT).

The Soul of What We Do

FOUNDED IN 2009

Sacred Threads is a Boston-based, non-denominational nonprofit organization that meets the unique spiritual needs of women across many different backgrounds and stages of life. Our mission is to nourish, connect, and inspire women by weaving spirituality into their everyday lives.


Since its inception, Sacred Threads has enabled women to voice their experiences and find a welcoming spiritual home. Whether they are active members or not of a religious tradition or consider themselves “spiritual but not religious,” Sacred Threads women are all seeking support, a deeper connection, and greater depth in their search for the Sacred. Some are hanging on by a thread, others are tied up in grief or shame, some feel ‘threadbare’ while others experience a significant inner void. They are all tethered together as Sacred Threads, living diverse experiences, and welcomed into our safe spaces – spaces shaped by women for women.
